The Tourism Department is participating in the international project (CUBITUS)
The Tourism Department is participating in the international two-year project (CUBITUS) which aims to develop the skills of academic staff to offer consultations to enterprises in the tourism and senior-tourism sectors. The project involves participants from the universities, business enterprises and consultation firms from eight countries (Germany, Austria, Italy, Estonia, Portugal, Romania, Turkey and the UK).
During the project, participants will compile guidelines on how to develop products for senior-tourism, in addition to consultations for businesses. The pilot-consultation projects will be carried out in four countries. As a result of the project, ten tutors can apply for the ISO17024 certificate, and at least three tourism enterprises from each country can participate in the consultation process with the aim to develop products within the senior-tourism sector.
The project is financed by EACEA LifeLong Learning Programme
