Join the Global Service Jam at UT Pärnu College - February 26 to 28 2016
We have only 48 hours to develop brand new services. And it’s going to be FUN. Almost too much fun!
The Global Service Jam is a non-profit event which has been set up to promote the discipline of service design, and to allow interested people to exchange techniques, ideas and experience in a relaxed, energetic environment.
The GSJ is not about ideas. It is not about concepts and it is not about presentations. The Jam is about PROTOTYPES. It is about stopping talking and starting to build. It is about rolling up your sleeves and crafting things that don't work, so you can later make something that will. It is about thinking with your hands, "show me, don't tell me" and making decisions by testing, not by comparing opinions.
Once a year, people interested in service and customer experience meet all over the globe. In a spirit of experimentation, co-operation and friendly competition, teams have 48 hours to develop brand new services inspired by a shared theme.
Pärnu College is just one of those hundreds of places around the world where the Jam begins on 26th of February 2016. But the only one in Estonia. You don’t want to miss it!
So you better join us!
Never heard of Service Design? Don’t worry. After 48 hours you know how to eat it.
How it looks like - in brief:
Friday at 17.00 – Gathering & warm-up @ UT Pärnu College.
Friday at 18.30 – We can open the theme which we follow to create new services.
Friday at 20.00 – We share our personal ideas about the potential new services and vote for the best ones - by 21.00 we have picked the best ideas and formed the teams.
From 21.00 on Friday until 15.00 on Sunday – Each team works on their project. Remember – it’s all about DOING not TALKING. And don't worry, we'll help you on the way.
Sunday at 15.00 – Each team has uploaded their prototype to the International server. (we’ll show you how to do it)
