Heli Tooman participated in the seminar Sanya International Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Construction
From December 6th-13th, Heli Tooman, the associate professor of the UT Pärnu College, participated in the seminar Sanya International Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Construction. The seminar was held in Sanya, the island of Hainan, South-China.
The aim of the seminar was to collect expert knowledge on tourism educational trends and innovative approaches within universities and curriculum development. The international seminar hosted ten experts, including Jafar Jafari, the founder of world tourism science (in photo: first row, seventh from the left), and Alastair Morrison (first row, fifth from the left) with books on tourism marketing and development acknowledged all over the world.
The meetings were initiated by Tiger Wo (third from the left), one of the most well-known tourism experts in China.
Heli Tooman, the associate professor of tourism in the UT Pärnu College, made a presentation „Development and Marketing Process of the International Curriculum in the UT Pärnu College“.
It is also important to say that Sanya is one of the most important tourism areas in China. They have started very extensive construction, with one of the main projects founding a tourism university for 10,000-30,000 students. The construction will commence in the spring of 2015.
