21 students of University of Tartu Pärnu College defended their final theses
Last week 21 students of UT Pärnu College defended their final theses. The Diploma of Applied Higher Education will be awarded to 18 students, Bachelor's degree to 2 students and Master's degree will be awarded to 1 Wellness and Spa Service Design and Management student.
Defence of final theses takes place twice within the academic year, in winter and in spring. The final thesis is assessed according to the grading system in force (A-F) based on the accomplishment of objectives and learning outcomes listed in the curriculum. The defence committee gave maximum points (grade A) to four degree seekers:
- Janne Kaarneem, the title of her thesis was "DEVELOPING HEALTH TOURISM PRODUCTS FOR GENERATION X USING LTD TAASTUSRAVIKESKUS VIIKING AS AN EXAMPLE", it was supervised by Tatjana Koor (UTPC Lecturer in Tourism Management). Janne also graduated cum laude.
- Lisett Heil, the title of her thesis was "THE VISIBILITY OF ADS BASED ON THE EXAMPLE OF A PUBLICATION OF AS POSTIMEES GRUPP", it was supervised by Andres Kuusik (UT Associate Professor in Marketing).
- Kristjan Mustkivi, the title of his thesis was "STANDARDIZATION OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT PRACTICES: THE CASE OF THE E-CUSTOMS DEPARTMENT OF CYBERNETICA INC", it was supervised by Toomas Saarsen (UT Institute of Computer Science) and Arvi Kuura (UTPC Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Project Management).
- Anneli Preiman, the title of her thesis was "ATHLETES AND COACHES ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION IN ESTONIAN SPORT OF ARCHERY", it was supervised by Liina Puusepp (UTPC Lecturer in Sports Management).
