Outside loan
Outside loan takes place at the front desk of the library reading room. All readers who have registered have the right to outside loan. For registration the student has to submit the legitimation and fill in the registration card. Outside loan is possible with the UT Library reader’s card (1.28 euro) or ID-card.
Lending rules are 15 and 30 days. The books are marked with orange (15) and green (30) pressmarks. For renewal the due dates the reader can use the electronic form MINU ESTER or call at 445 0526 or send an e-mail to raamatukogu [ät] pc.ut.ee. The due dates cannot be exceeded, they need to be renewed in time. Three days before the due date you will be sent the reminder to renew the due date or return the book.
The reader can renew the due date 5 times, after that it can be done by the means of the library. If the due date is exceeded, renewal is possible only by the medium of a librarian. If there is a queue for the book, no due dates can be renewed. The books that have exceeded the due date are fined for delay: 30-day loan - 0.06 euros, and 15-day loan - 0.13 euros a day per one publication. If the fine for delay has reached 2 euros the reader’s rights to borrowing and renewing are blocked in the library information system which means that the reader cannot renew the due dates in MINU ESTER himself.
If all copies of the book needed have been lended out, it is possible to line up for it. In this case the reader at whose disposal the book is, cannot renew the due date. For lining up it is possible to use an electronic form or call at 445 0525 or send an e-mail to raamatukogu [ät] pc.ut.ee.
