Study Abroad
What is the purpose of mobility?
The University of Tartu supports students in taking courses in other universities abroad. Mobility means spending a study period (a few weeks to a few semesters) in a foreign university. Mobility is a great opportunity to gain experiences from different countries and therefore, recommended to all students. Every student who wants to experience studying abroad needs to know that the minimum amount of credits he/she needs to take there is 15 ECTS. The courses taken in foreign universities can be reported as optional courses. In the case of similar content and learning outcomes these can be replaced with compulsory courses. The programme director and the department of academic affairs help students with the decision-making. The opportunities to study abroad are multiple, but it is easier to organise and find funding for your mobility if you choose one of our partner universities.
Which part of my study programme is recommended to pass abroad? What is the mobility module?
For Wellness and Spa Service Design and Management programme, the Mobility module (as the optional submodule 5.1) is recommended to choose for internship (10ECTS) and for optional subjects (5ECTS). Which semester is the best time to study abroad?
