Entrepreneurship and Project Management

Goal

To provide a thorough applied higher education in business and the basic knowledge to continue with a master’s degree, as well as the skills to work as an entrepreneur or qualified  project or operations manager.

 

Target Group

This program is intended for those who are interested in working in business, want to start their own business, or wish to work as a project manager or as a mid-level specialist in different departments (marketing, sales, accounting, finance, product development, human resources). The student must be innovative and ready to stand responsible before others as well as the community.

Course Content

The program contains 2 beginner modules: the social sciences beginner module and the business sciences beginner module. This is followed by an orientation module, which consists of an introduction to the business community. After the orientation module there are 2 specialization modules: enterprise and project management.
In addition to the required courses, students must also complete elective courses. Electives are available through both the University of Tartu and other educational facilities outside of the University of Tartu. 
A significant portion of applied higher education consists of the practical element. The entire program consists of 120 credit points. 
The schedule for the required courses is specified in the course calendar and follows a logical timeline. The coursework ends with the thesis defense.
